Hikers on this immersive 4.5-kilometer track will pass through the unspoiled forest habitat of Huanglong, therefore highlighting the area's amazing biodiversity. The path starts in the old spruce forest, where trees more than 300 years old build a thick canopy above. Interpretive signs along the road name several species of medicinal herbs that local people have long used. Several elevated walkways on the path let guests view the forest from several angles, including a canopy-level observation deck offering distinctive views of the forest structure. There are many of chances for seeing wildlife; among the many bird species there are uncommon black-necked crane and Chinese monal. The road comprises multiple little streams and periodic waterfalls, which provide ideal micro-habitats for rare orchids and ferns. Along the path, professional ecologists have set up monitoring stations with real-time data on effects of climate change and forest condition. Although certain parts of the trail need for careful footing, particularly following rain, its mild grade qualifies for most walkers.
