The black creature was small and certainly a baby, too young to show any distinct features. Yet, its face seemed peculiar. It must be some sort of hybrid to have a face like that. Jonathan couldn't think of any other explanation. The forest, usually a sanctuary, now held secrets that would challenge Jonathan's understanding of wildlife and reveal a mystery far beyond a simple rescue mission.
