In hindsight, it was clear that he should have left the baby raccoon in the forest. However, at that moment, abandoning a baby animal didn’t feel like the right choice. Even now, he was glad he had tried to save it. Ultimately, doing his best to help anyone in need was part of who he was, and he took pride in that.
